Self Esteem Workshops
Self Esteem is how we see ourselves and how we feel about ourselves. This affects how we interact with others and go about our daily lives. If a person's esteem was never nurtured this will undoubtedly affect them as an adult. These workshops are designed to enable someone to feel empowered and realize they can overcome any negativity from their past and even surpass what they ever expected of themselves.
Self Esteem Enhancement for Pre-Teens
This pre-teen workshop is geared towards males and females
from 9 – 12 years old. Attendees will require parent’s written permission to
attend. The purpose of these workshop is to assist these young people in coping
with stressors and not be harmfully affected by those stressors.
- They will
learn how to feel good about themselves no matter what others say.
- They will
learn about peer pressure and its possible affects.
- This workshop is ideal to
give the young person an outlet that he or she may not have at home or in their
school setting.
Self Esteem Enhancement for Teens
This workshop is geared toward males and
females from 13 – 17 years old. Attendees will require parent’s written
permission to attend. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss experiences of
adolescents and to present a comfortable atmosphere to discuss any concerns.
The adolescent stage is also considered the “awkward” stage and often people of
this age group feel less than adequate. This group will be given tasks and
skills to better equip them to tolerate the changes they may expect in:
- transitioning in and out of high school
- dating and proper treatment of the
opposite sex
- learning and establishing a family identity
Self Esteem Enhancement for Adults
This workshop is to provide adults and parents with:
- a better
outlook and skills to learn how to prevent circumstances of their past from affecting
them today
- becoming a more self-actualized person
- addressing parenting issues and assist parents in better
relating to their children
- the ability to learn why they allow themselves to
be treated in certain ways and how to go about changing that behavior
- an action plan for their lives
